Screening and Q&A in Bremerton, WA

On October 25th, at 6:00PM The Historic Roxy Theater in Bremerton will host a special screening of the Seattle International Film Festival hit, The Landing.

Robert Pine, star of TV's ChiPs and countless more of audiences' favorite movies and television shows, such as Gunsmoke, Charlie's Angels, The Office, Parks and Recreation, and Frozen, will host the screening and will moderate a fascinating discussion with The Landing’s lead actor and producer, Don Hannah, and with Mark Dodson, co-writer and co-director.

The Landing presents as a challenging and controversial documentary about NASA’s 1973 Apollo 18 mission to the moon, a mission that ended tragically. Because the events occurred during the height of the Watergate crisis, the story of Apollo 18 has been lost to history.

The Landing revisits the incident, speaking with witnesses, participants and, most significantly, with Apollo 18 command module pilot Bo Cunningham, the mission’s reclusive sole survivor. The Landing assembles a picture of a mission that continues to provoke unsettling questions but provides few satisfying answers.

Pine, Hannah, and Dodson will engage in conversation with the audience to explore the troubling issues that surround The Landing’s very existence – issues at the front of our cultural and political life, such as “alternative facts,” the contagion of lies through social media, historical memory, and the rise of conspiracy theory as social currency.

Most of all, The Landing is a fun and frightening journey into the unknown right here on earth. Don’t miss this special event in the newly renovated Historic Roxy Theater in Bremerton on October 25th at 6PM.
